FEMA IS-22 "Are You Ready?" Training |
| Delaware MARS members are suggested strongly to complete the FEMA IS-22 "Are You Ready?" training. IS-22 is nearly common sense. It includes things like the signs of a tornado, and how much food you should have prepared for a disaster. Many of you have already learned most of this so why not get a certificate from FEMA saying you do? This isn't just beneficial to just hams or MARS operators. Anybody would learn a lot from this course. Your wife might be interested, as well as your kids. If you do it as a group, you can get through it faster. Completing the IS-22 training will show our customers that we can take care of ourselves during an emergency. Not only is it good to show them, but you might learn something in this that could save your life during a disaster. Along with the online course, we have nets every week that review over the material and allow members to talk and ask questions about the training. Below is a schedule of the training and a links to the review page for each section: WEEK OF 27 NOV 2005 CHAPTER 1.1 WEEK OF 25 DEC 2005 CHAPTER 2.1
